Alice Crick - Prinicipal Trainer and Founder

The Positive Dog Training Co. is run by Alice Crick who is a fully qualified Puppy School Tutor and Kennel Club Good Citizen course co-ordinator and Tutor. Alice received her training from Gwen Bailey, internationally renowned dog behaviourist and author.

Alice hosts puppy parties for Clockhouse vets in Stroud and is a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild. Alice is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Canine Behaviour and Psychology and is also working towards Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) accreditation.

It was her first dog ‘Toby’ that sparked Alice’s love and passion for dogs. As an older rescue, Toby proved to be ‘just a bit’ of a handful! It was then that Alice experienced first-hand, the behavioural difficulties that can be encountered in fully mature adult dog due to lack of adequate socialisation, habituation and basic training as a young puppy. Working through these issues with Toby proved to be Alice’s inspiration for becoming a positive reinforcement based dog trainer.

Alice is passionate about what she does and firmly believes that reward based learning not only helps build a lifelong relationship with dogs based on mutual trust, but it is an extremely effective way of teaching our animals.
